Every time there is a federal election it seems to be touted as the most important election ever. Maybe because they always are important. Canada is now choosing between two very different directions... Much like the U.S. did a few months back. Unfortunately for the universe the Americans choose poorly. Hopefully Canada doesn't do the time. I voted and dropped my stone in the lake. (Proportional Representation now!) I watched parts of both debates. As usual, it was gain up on the front-runner which was Carney. They talked over each other and it wasn't overly helpful. But what was disturbed was someone with elections Canada allowed nut job right wing wackos in with real media and of course it resulted in ending the post debate scrums. Disgusting. They have no business with actual journalists. Liberals are still leading. One week left. I pray they hold the lead.
NHL playoffs have started. A lot of great series. Looking forward to Sens/Leafs. GO SENS! I'd like the Habs to win too, but I'd surprised if they get by the Caps. Do I even need to say the Sabres missed again? For the 14th year in a row?? Meh.
We had my mom up for Easter dinner. It was pretty low key. We watched a bit of hockey (Go Jets!) and Last Breath. A well done, true story about deep sea divers. They do a incredible job of portraying the atmosphere and environment. It is an incredible story. โญโญโญโ

Game one of the Battle for Ontario is over. The Sens looked unprepared. Took a bunch of bad penalties both deserved and undeserved and were out of the game pretty quickly. Lots of fire, hopefully they should put that energy to better use in game two. Won't be a long series if the Loafs are getting 5 PPs a night.

Pretty lazy day. It was gray and dreary so we burned through a very good Season 3 of Slow Horses.
Playing some Old World... it is Civ-like. Not sure what I think of it yet... it focuses on some different aspects of world building...
Habs tied it late but lost to the Caps in OT. Ovi had a good night.
While my love for religion has disappeared... I do think religion can be a catalyst for good. (or more often evil) The pope advocated for many disadvantaged groups. You know the groups that Jesus would if he were around. Groups that so-called GOP Christians should advocate for but don't. Anyway... I think Pope Francis was a good pope. It is a sad passing. It is super creepy he died shortly after meaning that scumball VP of the U.S..
Pretty cool that Canada now has professional Men's and Women's soccer leagues. The first Northern Super League starting last week!
