Canada wins the first run of the Canadian Shield. It felt a bit anti-climatic with the shootout loss. (Make a save Dane?!) The tournament itself should serve as good prep for the upcoming Gold Cup. It is really the Gold Cup (and obviously the World Cup) that Canada is focused on. I think it was really important to face a strong, physical team like the Ivory Coast. Who gave Canada all they could handle. So many yellow cards...
