Another friend of mine has lost a parent. It has been a pretty grim year in so many ways.
I've been using Plex off and on since I bought the pass in 2021. I think for around $200. So it has easily paid for itself. It seems they are cutting features and some even wonder if Plex is a dying platform. I've been playing around with Jellyfin just to compare and contrast. I've only had a surface look so far. I'm going to try and actually use it when I would typically use Plex. There is sadly no app available for Samsung. It is on Google Chromecast or whatever it's called. Initial impression is promising. The app downloaded/installed and detected the server on my network. Logged in and it streams as intended. The problem (I think) with Plex apps - are they are not all equally supported by Plex. Some have HORRIBLE UI but work. Others have nice UI by fail to play OFTEN....Frankly Plex can be VERY frustrating for even basic playback. Sometimes audio will only play and the screen will drop back to the menu. Will report back after some usage data is obtained.
I had my first ultrasound today. They sure use a lot of cool gel. Bleck. I asked if she saw any aliens growing and only smiled sweetly. Hmmpt.

SMH. Tr*mp ultimate betrayal in Bill form has past the house. I'm sure it will be looked back upon as a pivotal misstep in American history. The consequences of the Bill could be grimly transformative for millions of Americans. What a sad day. It will add *gasp* $4TRILLION in debt (fiscal conservative GOP! LOL! Hypocrites!) kick millions off medicade, cuts food stamps, cuts lunch programs for kids in school, kills wind and solar projects, increases drilling on public land, adds funds for ICE, increases energy costs...A massive kick in the pants to the working class. Brutal. So ugly.
Just use W10 for Plex. Might have to try everything on Linux... Hmm...I wonder if Jellyfin on Linux is less problematic than Plex was...
